“Two lovers, one seeker and an unbidden guest“

“Two lovers, one seeker and an unbidden guest“ was one of the working titles of the painting „INTRUDER“.

The picture is an allegory for „change“. Symbolically it depicts a sudden, unpredictable event that breaks open everthing that had previously existed and forces it to reorientate itself.

The painting can be read from left to right: the changes are displayed in chronological order as in a timeline. On the left, there are two lovers - a symbol for the everlasting, the loved, the familiar and protective. Clinging to each other in an intimate embrace, the couple faces the looming dissolution of their environment.

The middle of the picture shows the unknown and unpredictable „INTRUDER“. This is represented by the alien-like figure, who breaks up the pictorial space and divides it at he same time.

On the right, you find a naked man on a chair, holding a plummet. He embodies the search for orientation, for a new direction and for an anchor in the changing world.

„Two lovers, one seeker and an unbidden guest“ war einer der Arbeitstitel des im Jahr 2020 fertig gestellten Gemäldes „Eindringling“.

Das Bild steht allegorisch für die „Veränderung“. Symbolisch zeigt es ein plötzlich eintretendes, unvorhersehbares Ereignis, das alles bisher Dagewesene aufbricht und zur Neuorientierung zwingt.

Von links nach rechts gelesen werden die Veränderungen wie in einer Zeitleiste in chronologischer Abfolge dargestellt.
Auf der linken Bildhälfte findet sich ein Liebespaar wieder - ein Sinnbild für das Beständige, das Liebgewonnene, das Vertraute und Schützende. In inniger Umarmung verharrend, steht das Paar der sich abzeichnenden Auflösung seines Lebensraumes gegenüber.
In der Mitte des Bildes dringt das Unbekannte und Unberechenbare ein. Hierfür steht die alienhafte Figur, der „Eindringling“,der den Bildraum sprengt und gleichzeitig teilt.

Am rechten Bildrand befindet sich ein nackter Mensch auf einem Stuhl, ein Lot in die Tiefe haltend. Er verkörpert die Suche nach Orientierung, nach Neuausrichtung und nach einem Anker in der sich wandelnden Welt.
